STEELE, Lonie - Putnam

Lonie J. Steele, 67, Putnam County farmer and father of Anna Lang, Indianapolis died Monday in his home near Roachdale. He had served two terms as a Putnam County Councilman and was a member of the County Board of Review.  He had lived all his life in Franklin Township, Putnam County.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Fincastle Community Church.  Survivors, besides Mrs. Lang include the widow, Mrs. Ida Steele; two other daughters, Mrs. Marion Borden and Mrs. Esther Lyon, Roachdale; two brothers, Luther B. Steele, Roachdale and David F. Steele, Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Pfeiffer, Indianapolis and three granddaughters. – kbz
