STANLEY, George Barney - Putnam

George Byron “Barney” Stanley age 91, Coatesville, passed away Wednesday evening at the Waters of Greencastle. He was born in Pittsboro, IN Aug 28, 1913 son of Everett and Amy Icy Bramlett Stanley. He had worked as a machinist for International Harvester for 30 years, retiring in 1973.  He was a member of the Greencastle VFW and was a Navy Veteran of WWII.  Survivors include wife, Kathleen Hunter Stanley; children: Larry Stanley, Coatesville, Bonita Stanley, Indianapolis and Warren Stanley, Coatesville; brother, Milburn Stanley, Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Howard.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov 16 at 11 at the Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville.  Burial is in Stilesville Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society - kbz
