Whereas, the Great Father in tenderness and pity, has entered a happy home and gathered to His loving breast the children he gave to bright earth for so short a span, therefore be it – resolved, that in the loss of our young sisters, Lillie and Eva Stanley we submit to that all-wise decree, thankful for the happy influence their bright and lovely dispositions exerted while among us. Even though the Lilly be broken and laid away beneath the sod, the fragrance of that fresh young life will linger around us still.  Resolved, that since no words of our own can express our heartfelt sympathy or bring solace to the breaking hearts of that stricken household we commend them to that source from which all comfort comes, firm in the belief that in His inscrutable dealings, β€œHe doeth all things well.”  Resolved that a copy of these resolutions be presented to the members of the sorrowing family and also placed on the records of the Union and a copy be given to each of our county papers. Mollie Crouch, Emma Graham, Joanna Snyder, committee
