Elmer Thomas Stanger, widely known stockbuyer and farmer, living southeast of the city in the Flatwoods neighborhood, died suddenly while working Monday shortly before noon. He was preparing to bale hay at the Walter Masten farm which is near his east Greencastle township farm. He had gone to the Masen farm shortly before noon but complained of a heart ache while resting in the barn lot and died a short time afterwards and before medical aid could reach him. The body was brought to the Rector Funeral Home n this city. Mr. Stanger was extremely heavy and this aggravated his heart condition, his friends said. He was 45 years of age. Mr. Stanger is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma Albin of Indianapolis - kbz
