The Rev. Ralph D. Spencer, 72, Indianapolis died of natural causes Friday June 1, 1990 at Methodist Hospital. He was a former Martinsville resident. The son of Claude and Elsa Evans Spencer, he was born July 30, 1917 in Russellville. He married Dorothy Mouse, who survives. The Rev. Spencer was a minister for the Disciples of Christ Church for 33 years, retiring in 1980. He last served the Bargersville Christian Church for 11 years. He also served churches in Bloomington and Wanatah. For five years he worked in public relations for the Harrison National Life Insurance Co. He was a member of the Lakeview Christian Temple. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Donna Witcher; a son, Larry Spencer and six grandchildren. The Rev. Thomas Paino will officiate the 11:30 a.m. Tuesday service at Conkle Speedway Chapel in Indianapolis. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Friends may call 3-9 p.m. today.- kz
