Cline Spencer, living three miles south of Russellville, was killed late Monday night, when a chain hoist broke, dropping an automobile on him. He died of a skull fracture within a few minutes after the chain broke. It had been fastened to some timbers in the garage.
He was a son of Fred and Nannie Sutherlin Spencer, who live in Russellville. Besides the parents, he is survived by the widow, Margaret Murphy Spencer, three children, Charles of Russellville and Kenny and Connie at home.
His children were playing in the vicinity of the garage at the time. A physician was called but Mr. Spencer was dead before the doctor arrived.
It was not known when the funeral will be held as sisters and brothers live in California.
