SOUTH, Loretta Sears - Putnam

Loretta May South, 84, died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital Center in Beech Grove. She was a resident of Indianapolis. She was born Aug 14, 1908 in Greencastle. Her parents were Leslie Sears and May (Farrow) Sears. She was married to Campbell Van South.  He preceded her in death.  Survivors include a son, Norman D. Sullivan from Indianapolis; a sister, Dorothy McGowen of Greenwood, two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was employed by Real-Silk and national Hosier in Indianapolis as an inspector for 20 years, retiring in 1962. She was a member of Englewood Eastern Star Chapter 483. The Rev. Shan Rutherford will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at GH Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. - kbz
