Greencastle, Ind – Services for Leon N. Snyder, 76, Greencastle, retired school administrator, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Christian Church.  Calling will be from 2-4 and from 6-8 Tuesday at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home.  He died Saturday in Putnam County Hospital. He was an educator and administrator at several schools in Putnam County. When he retired in 1972, he was principal at Reelsville Schools.  He was a member of local, state and National chapters of Retired Teachers Association.  Born in Marion County, he live din Putnam County most of his life.  He was a member of Temple Masonic Lodge 47 in Greencastle, the Putnam County Historical Preservation Society and Pike Township Historical Society in Marion County.  A former owner of Vaughan & Snyder Real Estate in Greencastle, he attended the First Christian Church.  He was the founding member and first president of the Central Indiana Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Survivors: wife, Anna Lorene Vaughan Snyder; sons, Byron and Percy Snyder; daughter, Cynthia Baker, six grandchildren. - kbz
