SMITHSON, Kenneth WWI vet - Putnam

Former Bremerton resident, Kenneth B. Smithson, 81 of Yakima, died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. He had lived in Bremerton between 1955-1970. Born Nov 11, 1899 at Roachdale, Ind, Mr. Smithson was a US Navy Veteran of World War I. He was a boilermaker and welder at the Hanford nuclear reservation from 1947-1955.  He moved to Yakima after retiring in 1970.  Survivors include his wife, Lois Lucille Smithson of Yakima, two sons and one daughter.  The funeral was Monday at Mueller’s Chapel of the Falls in Kennewick, with interment at Riverview Heights Cemetery in Kennewick. - kbz
