Roland Smith, street commissioner of the city of Greencastle has received telegraphic information from the veteran’s hospital at Biloxi, Miss of the death of his brother, Raymond Smith who had been a patient there since last November when he was disabled by apoplexy. He was a WW veteran. His death occurred at 3:05 o’clock Sunday morning. Mr. Smith was born in Missouri but spent the greater part of his life in Marion Township, this county and in Greencastle. He was 49 years old November 26. He was a son of George R. Smith now living and brother also of Kenneth Smith, employed at the Chevrolet plant in this city and of Mrs. Inez Arbuckle of Indianapolis. Mr. Smith was an employee of the Ford plant in Greencastle some 12 years and was known as a skillful mechanic. He had very many friends in the city. The interment will be at Stilesville, but the arrangements for the funeral service have not yet been made. – kbz
