SMITH, Rachel Ellen Bridges Williams - Putnam

Mrs. Rachael Ellen Smith, 66, of Fincastle, died at Culver Hospital Saturday evening October 30. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Fincastle, with burial in Brick Chapel cemetery. She was born February 13, 1871, the daughter of Robert L. and Catherine Leaton Bridges. She was the youngest of seven children. She married Grant Williams, October 17, 1888, who died May 25, 1917. She married Albert Smith December 26, 1918 and live in Superior, Nebraska until his death in 1928. Survivors include two children; Mrs. Hallie Stelle of Indianapolis and John W. Williams of Fincastle; one sister, Mrs. Betty Cooper of near Fincastle; brother, John L. Bridges also of Fincastle, a step daughter Mrs. Lulu Trunkenbotz of Scio, Oregon, two stepsons; Lawrence and Curt Smith of Superior, Nebraska    --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for donating her wonderful Roachdale Times obituary file for use on this site.
