SMITH, Norman M. - Putnam

Frankfort, Ind – Norman N. Smith, 77, of Frankfort, died at 2:05 a.m. Saturday at Clinton County Hospital. Born Nov 30, 1915 in Putnam County, he was the son of Charles and Hattie Frye Smith.  He was married Oct 21, 1942 to Laura A. Mounts. She survives.  He retired from the Clinton County Highway Department in 1976 after 15 years employment. He lived most of his life in Clinton County.  He was a member of the Frankfort Baptist Temple.  Others surviving are one daughter, Bonnie J. Parker of Michigantown; two sons, Richard Smith of Forest and Robert Lee Smith of Frankfort; two sisters, Dorothy Higgins and Lucile Albright of Greencastle; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Frye Funeral Home in Frankfort with Rev. Roger Park officiating. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. – kbz
