Smith, Mary Preston - Putnam

Mrs. Mary P. Smith, wife of Charles W. Smith and daughter of Dr. Albert G. Preston of Greencastle, died suddenly at her home at 119 E Pratt Street Wednesday night.  Mrs. Smith who was 69 years old has been ill for several months. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Albert P Smith of Indianapolis and three daughters: Mrs. Wilbur C. Abbott, New Haven, Conn; Mrs. Sherman P. Minear, Greensburg, Ind and Mrs. Henry Hornbrook, Indianapolis. The funeral services which will be conducted by Dr. Hilary Gobin of DePauw University, a childhood friend of Mrs. Smith will be held at the home at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Interment will take place at Crown Hill. – kbz
