SMITH, Mary Jessie Branson - Putnam

Mrs. Mary Jessie Smith, 39, died at ?:30 o'clock Sunday morning at her home near Parkersburg, after an illness of two and a half years with complications. Mrs. Smith was born on May 10, 1888 in Montgomery County, near RUssellville, the daughter of E.A. Branson (Enoch Albert) and Pattie Taylor (Martha Esther) Branson on December 5, 1912, she became the wife of Charles E. (Edgar) Smith. She was a member of the Browns Valley Baptist Church. Deceased is survived by the husband, two daughters, Lucille and Geneva; her parents; four brother, W.T. Branson of Crawfordsville; Hugh Branson of Parkersburg; D.C. Branson of Bloomfield and Dr. Branson of Waveland and six nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be held from the Browns Valley Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made at Russellville.   -- kbz
