SMITH, Joyce "Bud" - Putnam

Joyce S. "Bud" Smith, 90 of rural Greencastle formerly of White and Clinton Counties died Tuesday morning June 22, 2004 in Putnam COunty Hospital. Born Sept 26, 1913 in Putnam County he attended Putnamville schools and graduated from Greencastle HS in 1932. He married Maxine William Dec 12, 1938. She died Feb 5, 1995. They lived in the Remington area from 1939-1964 and rural Frankfort and Rossville 1964-1999. Since 1999 he had made his home with his daughter and son-in-law near Greencastle. Mr. Smith was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Rossville. Surviving are a son, John S. SMith of Walton; three daughters, Patricia S. Sheldon (husband: James C) of Greencastle; Barbara L. Lawson (husband: Ed) of Wolcott and Maryanne England (husband: Danny) of Lafayette; two sisters, Mary Heeke of Greencastle and Elizabeth Jones of Connersville and a brother-in-law, Charles Emrich (wife; Retha) of Chillicothe, mo who was raised in his home. - kbz
