Frank C. Smith, principal of the Russellville schools died at his home on Wednesday of last week. He had been ill for several weeks with what proved to be carcinoma of the lungs. Mr. Smith has been connected with Russellville schools for 11 years, the past 5 as principal. He has been a very efficient teacher and executive. Mr. Smith was born at Matthews, April 4, 1902. He was a graduate of Indiana University, receiving his master's degree last spring. He was married to 1925 to Miss Roberta Carlisle of Indianapolis who survives him with one son, Lyle. He was a member of the Federated Church and the Masonic Lodge, being master of the lodge at his death. Funeral services at the Federated Church on Friday afternoon were in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. --- transcribed and donated by Karen Bazzani Zach
