RUSSELLVILLE – Annette Marie Smith, 9, of Rt. 1, Russellville, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had undergone surgery Friday. She would have been a fifth grader at Marshall elementary school this fall. She was a member of the beginner’s band there. She attended Portland Mills Christian Church. A daughter of Lowell and Mary Ethel Zachary Smith, she was born in Crawfordsville Aug. 19, 1959. Surviving along with the parents are a sister, Miss Carolyn Sue Smith of Indianapolis; two brothers, Kevin Walter and Alan Wayne, both at home, and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Portland Mills Christian Church with Rev. Kenneth Greeley officiating. Interment will be in Portland Mills Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at Tudor Funeral Home at Rockville. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services. – jlr
