Raccoon, June 19 – Mrs. Dulia D. SKILLMAN, 68, died at her home, a half mile south of here, Friday night at 6 o’clock. Death followed an illness of two and a half years and was due to a complication of diseases.
Mrs. Skillman was one of the best known residents of this vicinity. She had a wide acquaintance and was regarded as an outstanding citizen of the community. She had lived near Fincastle and Raccoon all her life. The deceased was born near Fincastle Jan 14, 1863, daughter of Benton C. and Rebecca BURKETT. She was united in marriage Dec 18, 1887 to James Skillman, whose death occurred Feb 12, 1926. She was a member of Raccoon ME Church.
Survivors are 3 sisters; Mrs. Milton Bowers of near Fincastle; Mrs. WW Goslin of near Raccoon and Mrs. WC Obenchain of Russellville and number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased near Raccoon Sunday afternoon at 2. Burial Blakesburg Cem. near Fincastle. - kbz

Mrs. Delcina Skillman, 79 years old died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wally Gosling of near Raccoon about 6 o'clock Friday afternoon following an illness of 10 weeks. Mrs. SKillman was suffering from diabetes. The only immediate survivors of Mrs., SKillman who had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County are three sisters, Mrs. Wally Gosling, Mrs. Will Obenchain of Russellville and Mrs. Milton Bowers of north Putnam County. The deceased was the widow of James Skillman well known Putnam County farmer who died about three years ago. Last rites will be held at the Gosling home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon with Rev. Cornelius Airhart of Crawfordsville in charge. Burial will be at Blakesburg cemetery near Fincastle. - kbz
