Funeral services for Virgil Sinclair, 48 employee of the Helena Post Office since 1923 who died Sunday morning of a heart ailment at his home, 914 Monroe will be conducted at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from St. Peter’s pro cathedral with Very Rev. Charles A. Wilson, dean officiating. Mr. Sinclair was born Sept 7, 1900 in Cloverdale, Ind. He came to Montana as a young man to enroll at Montana State University in Missoula. He later attended Intermountain Union College for a year. He entered the postal service Feb 23, 1923 as a clerk and for the past 6-7 years had been handling rural carrier payments for the state. He is survived by his widow, Katherine Sinclair to whom he was married in Bozeman in 1933; two sons, Jim 14, and Dick, 13; a brother, Kenneth Sinclair of Greencastle Ind and an uncle, GC Spratt of Stanford. Pallbearers will be Harland Herrin, Harold Kuehn, Joe DeBar, J. Brad Seeley, Charles K. Dalton, Leonard LeRoux all of Helena and Frank Brown of Bozeman and Lyman Brewster of Birney. The body is at Opp-Conrad-Retz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forestvale cemetery. – kbz
