SIMS, Betsy C. Anderson - Putnam

RUSSELLVILLE – Betsy C. Sims, 85, of Russellville, died Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after an extended illness. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Brookston. She was born in Kentucky on Oct. 28, 1890, a daughter of William and Janie Pruett Anderson. Surviving are two sons, Dewey Miles of Tipton and Jackie Miles of Fortville; three daughters, Callie Adams and Sally Baldwin of Russellville and Hazel Shaw of Plainfield; two sisters, Dora Dyer of Thomkinsville, Ky., and Dochie Ashlord of Dalhart, Tex.; 37 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Yokley Funeral Home at Thomkinsville with burial in Bailey Cemetery.   -– jlr
