SIMPSON, James O. - Putnam

James O. Simpson, 75, Roachdale, passed away suddenly at his residence Wednesday.  Born Feb 22, 1911 in Somerset, KY he was the son of Manuel and Mary (Burdine) Simpson. A member of the Roachdale Nazarene Church, he worked at the Roachdale Cemetery and had been running Simpson’s TV Repair in Roachdale. He drove a school bus for 26 years in the Roachdale area. Survivors include three sons: James E. and Twins Ron and Don Simpson all of Roachdale; three brothers, Cleon Simpson, Roachdale; Elmer Simpson, Tallahassee, Fla and Robert Simpson, Shelbyville; three grandchildren and one great grandson.  He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother. Mr. Simpson’s sister, Bessie May Bullock died Wednesday at a Ladoga Nursing home. A combined funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale where friends may call from noon until 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Roachdale Cemetery. - kbz
