SIDDONS, Mary Mundy - Putnam

Mary Elizabeth Siddons, age 74, who had spent most of her life in the Cloverdale area died Wednesday morning after an extended illness. She was the daughter of James and Nevada Mundy Washington and was born Sept 10, 1894 in Putnam County. On June 3, 1916, she was married to Albert E. Siddons, who survives her. Survivors besides the husband are five daughters, Mrs. Ruby O’Neal of Greencastle; Mrs. LaVern Balay of Martinsville; Mrs. Telitha Butler of Greencastle; Mrs. Ruth Pryor of Needham and Mrs. Norma Reed of Indianapolis.  Also, she leaves four sons, Maynard of New Ross, Kenneth of Eminence, James of Carbon and Melvin of California, 30 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  A son Paul Henry died in infancy and four brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.  The Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle is in charge of the services. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Walnut Chapel Friends Church. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the home after 2 o’clock on Thursday. - kbz
