Charles Siddons, ago 75 years, a life long resident of Fillmore and vicinity, died at his home in Fillmore at 12:55 o’clock Tuesday following a stroke of apoplexy suffered earlier in the day. Funeral services will be held from the Fillmore Christian Church Thursday morning at 10 o’clock conducted by Rev. BYH Bruner of Greencastle. Interment will be in Fillmore cemetery. Mr. Siddons was found in an unconscious condition across a bed at his home Tuesday morning about 8:30 o’clock by Mrs. A. C. White, of Greencastle, a half-sister, who, with her husband had gone to the Siddons home after flowers. A physician was summoned but could not revive him and his death occurred shortly before 1 o’clock. Apoplexy was given as the cause of death. Mr. Siddons was born at Fillmore and had spent all his life there with the exception of a few years in Greencastle and south of the city. He was a farmer by occupation. His wife, formerly Mary Ann - Christy, whom he married October 23, 1878, died three years ago. He leaves four half brothers, JT Siddons of Fillmore; Walter and Lloyd Siddons of Indianapolis; and Raleigh Siddons of Greencastle. Three half sisters; Mrs. AC White, Mrs. Albert Leachman of Knightsville and Miss Rose Siddons of Greencastle and one nephew, Albert Siddons of Cloverdale and two nieces, Mrs. Carl Elmore and Mrs. Earl Grimes of Belle Union also survive. – kbz
