James SHUMAKER 63 and one of the well known residents of the Campbell's Chapel neighborhood, west of this place died Sunday night after suffering for a year or more of a gland cancer of the face. . Mr. Shumaker was a splendid neighbor and a companionable man and withstood his affliction with remarkable fortitude. His widow, one son and his mother, two brothers, and 4 sister survive. The funeral will be held at the late home Tuesday morning at 10:30 and will be in charge of Rev. Nicely of this place.
