SHUEY, Franklin - Putnam

Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Miller & Skelton Funeral Home for Franklin Shuey, 76, general mgr of the Yancey Company from 1943 until two months ago when he retired because of a heart ailment. Cremation will follow the rites. Shuey died yesterday morning in a rest home.  He resided at 816 4th Ave. From 1929-1938 he was VP and Pacific Coast manager of the Johns-Mansville Company with offices in San Francisco.  Then for a few years he was general manager of the Hilts Laboratories, a pest control firm in Honolulu.  His wife Minnie died in 1950.  He was the father of Franklin Jr. of Sacramento and Robert M. of Fresno, the brother of Paul of Portland, Ore, Nelle and Mable Shuey of Seattle, Wash.  – kbz
