Carpentersville – On Monday of last week, while Jesse Short was hauling water from Walnut Creek near the bridge east of here, he fell or was thrown from the trak? And the wagon passed over him, injuring him internally from which he died Friday morning and was buried Saturday morning at Pearcy Cemetery. He was 53 years old, and leaves a wife, one son and one grandson.
