SHERRILL, Mary Josephine - Putnam

Mrs. Mary Josephine Sherill age 76 years well known  of Jefferson Township passed away at her home east of Belle Union.  Mrs. Sherrill who was a lifelong resident of Putnam County had been in ill health for several years.  She was a member of the Walnut Church and was one of the most highly respected and beloved women of her community, Mrs. Sherrill was the wife of the late Frank Sherrill. She is survived by four daughters, Miss Ina Sherrill at home; Mrs. Dora McAninch of Mt. Meridian, Mrs. Elva McCammack of Belle Union; Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison of Indianapolis and two sons, HA Sherrill of  Greencastle and T. Earl Sherrill of Belle Union.  Funeral services will be held from the Walnut Chapel Church, east of Belle Union, Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock conducted by the Rev. John Hadley of Danville an Rev. EC Kivett of Belle Union.  Interment will be in the Walnut Church cemetery. - transcribed by kbz
