SHANNON, Harold - Putnam

Harold S. Shannon, 89, Greenwood, died Dec 24.  He was a cattle buyer more than 40 years with Harold Shannon & Co retiring in 1966.  He was a member of Plainfield United Methodist Church and Roachdale Masonic Lodge.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Services: 1 p.m. Dec 27 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield with calling from 11 a.m.  Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Plainfield. He was the widower of Audrey K. Roberton Shannon. Survivors: daughter Peggy Laidley; sister Martha Edie; 3 grandchildren; two great grandchildren. – kbz
