SEARS, Joseph S - Putnam

Joseph S. Sears, aged 88 years and 21 days died at 6:30 Sunday afternoon at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. William McMurray in East Brazil of general debility. The deceased has been an invalid for a number of years and death came to relieve his sufferings.  He was a member of the Christian Church since a young man and always lived a clean, honest and respectable life winning the respect of his neighbors, the love of his friends and the admiration of all who knew him.  He leaves to mourn his departure two daughters, Mrs. William McMurray, Mrs. Martha Mills of Lafayette. His wife preceded him in death by four years.  Short services will be held at the home of Mr. McMurray at 9 o’clock Tuesday; interment in the Boone Cemetery in Putnam County. – Brazil Times - kbz
