Al Sears, age 76 years well know former and retired Big Four railroad employee died suddenly Saturday morning at 6 o’clock at his home west of Greencastle. Mr. Sears had apparently been in good health and this morning he arose early to go hunting. He was stricken with a stroke of apoplexy while doing the morning chores and died before a physician arrived. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Eva Sears; one daughter, Mrs. Earl Humphrey of Greencastle township: three sons, Harold and Roy of Greencastle and Jesse Sears, who left last Monday for army services: one sister, Mrs. Lyda Sears of Greencastle the body was taken to the McCurry Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
