Thomas W. Scott, 85, a retired farmer who had lived for many years near Eminence died this morning at 2:45 at the Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle.  Had had been ill for the past several months.  The son of William A. and Mary Rule Scott, he was born in Putnam County, March 3, 1898.  On Jan 14, 1925 he married Margurette Rosenbalm and she survives. Other survivors include a son, Joseph L. Scott of Stilesville, RR 1; a half sister, Margaret Starr of Greencastle; four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.  Mr. Scott was a deacon of the Eminence First Baptist Church.  He was a past master and 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 440 and charter and 50-year member of Eastern Star, 546 both at Eminence and a member of Morgon County Past Masters Association. The funeral will be Saturday at  2p.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home at Cloverdale. The Revs. D Robert Nees and Sonny Ooley will officiate, and burial will be in Stilesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-9 p.m. A Masonic service will be there at 7:30 that evening. - kbz
