Mrs. Nora Sandy of Cloverdale, 91-year-old former Morgan County resident died at 7:50 Monday night in the Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. She had been hospitalized since breaking a hip two weeks ago. Mrs. Sandy who was born near Eminence Oct 20, 1875, was the daughter of Hiram and Margaret Humphrey Staley. She was married to Everett Sandy who died in 1943.  She lived in Cloverdale many years but has been a member of the Methodist Church at Eminence. She leaves four daughters and four sons: Mrs. Dorothy Job of Spencer; Mrs. Geneva Carr of Indianapolis; Mrs. Nola Ellis, Peru; Mrs. Violet Kennedy and Tom Sandy of Cloverdale; Roy of Indianapolis; Oral of Greencastle and Sedwick of Kokomo. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be in the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon conducted by the Rev. Gilbert McCammack. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening. – kbz
