SANDER, Eliza Chastain - Putnam

Eliza Christine Sanders, daughter of Barry and Julia Raglon Chastain was born March 21, 1852 and married Russell Sanders on November 14, 1872. She died July 21, 1938. To this union were born four daughters, the first dying in infancy. She is preceded in death by the husband, eight years, six months and six days. Those surviving are; Julia Wilson, and Allie Cannon, both of Indianapolis, and Lela Fitzsimmons of Greencastle, seven grandchildren; Lloyd Wilson, Indianapolis, Christine Chadd and Clifford, Willard, Shirley, Bernadine and Herbert Lee Fitzsimmons of Greencastle, seven great grandchildren; Marjorie, Caroline and Janet Wilson, Indianapolis, Hubert and Wanda Chadd, Phyllis Rae and Russell Wayne Fitzsimmons, Greencastle, three brothers Charles, Ollie and John Chastain, a sister Mary Collins    --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for donating her wonderful Roachdale Times obituary file for use on this site
