GREENCASTLE - George S. Sadler, 59, of Shevlin, Minn., former Putnam County farmer, died early Tuesday morning in Clearwater Memorial Hospital at Bagley, Minn. He had resided at Rt. 3, Greencastle until June of 1971 and had farmed all his life. Mr. Sadler served as sexton of Brick Chapel Cemetery for seven years. He was born June 15, 1914, in Missouri, a son of A. J. and Minnie Tibetts Sadler. Survivors include the widow, Helen; five daughters, Alice Lydick and Mary Brewer, both of California, Nancy Sypult of Harvey, Ill., Georgeanna Halverson and Sharon Keeney, both of Minnesota; five brothers, Floyd of Hillsboro, Leslie of Bloomingdale, William and Howard of Rockville and Albert of Rt. 1, Greencastle; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Davis of Greencastle and Mrs. Martha Wilson of Nineveh, 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hopkins Funeral Home here. The Rev. Earl Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery.
