SACKETT, Grace - Putnam

Services for Grace Sackett, 69, Cloverdale who died Tuesday in Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle, were at  2p.m. today in the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale.  She was born on April 9, 1910 in Morgan County and was the daughter of Elias E. and Mary Crank Elmore.  On Feb 19, 1935 she married Vivian “Bib” Sackett and he died on Feb 20, 1976. Survivors include three daughters: Jeannette Sharp of Quincy RR 1, Rita Garrett of Cloverdale and Bernadine Quinnette of Indianapolis; a son, Leonard Buzzy Sackett of Cloverdale; 7 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Buis, Martinsville RR 1, and Hazel Jones of Danville. Mrs. Sackett had lived most of his life in Cloverdale, moving there from Morgan County. She was a member of the Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary 281 of Cloverdale. Rev. Charles Wood officiated at the service and burial was in Cloverdale Cemetery. – kbz
