ROUTH, Russell - Putnam

Russell Routh, 44 years old farmer living north of Fincastle committed suicide Tuesday by hanging himself in a barn at his farm home. His body was found by his father, Marion Routh who resides nearby when Mrs. Routh became alarmed over her husband’s absence from the house despondency over ill health was believed to have been the cause. Charles McMurry Putnam County corner was summoned and conducted an investigation. He is survived by the widow, one child; his parents and other relatives. The McGaughey Funeral Home at Russellville has charge of the funeral arrangements. - kbz
