ROSS, Sarah Elizabeth Wood - Putnam

Ross, Sarah Elizabeth aged 90, well known in the North Putnam County community died Thursday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ora Heath in Jamestown. Funeral rites were held Saturday in Jamestown.  Born in Hendricks County near Danville on 17 September 1854, the daughter of Harvey and Nancy Snodgrass Wood. In 1874 she married Andrew J. Ross. She enjoyed a wide acquaintance in the Roachdale community, where another daughter Bessie Lawler lives.  Surviving are a son, Elmer Ross of Jamestown, a third daughter Fern Hughes of New Richmond; twelve grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. Internment in Jamestown Cemetery. - mw
