Excitement caused by a fire in her home at 19 W. 21st street at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon resulted in the death of Miss Louise Robinson and a severe nervous shock to her sister, Mrs. MA Sherfey. Miss Robinson died before she could be removed from the house. She was 79 years of age. Mrs. Sherfey was removed to the home of her cousin, Dr. John H. Talbott, 110 East 21st street and was reported to be resting ??__ last evening. Mrs. Sherfey had been ill in bed and when she discovered the blaze on the roof of the house, left her bed and made her way downstairs to inform Miss Robinson. The elder woman sank into a chair and a few moments later was found gasping for breath. She died before a physician could reach the house. The house is a two story, double dwelling, one side of which was occupied by Mrs. Sherfey, Miss Robinson and Frank Sherfey and the Murphys. The Murphy family was away from home when the fire originated. Practically the entire roof was burned. The loss is estimated at $400.00. The cause of the fire has not been discovered by the fire department but the flames are believed to have originated from sparks on the roof. Miss Robinson’s body will be taken to Greencastle, the former home of the family for burial. Miss Robinson is survived by two brothers George E. Robinson of Lima, Ohio and JA Robinson of Indianapolis; and by six sisters: Mrs. Emma Lundy..... ---transcribed by kbz
