RIVERS, Morris - WWII Cadet - Putnam

Aviation Cadet Morris E. Rivers, 22 year old husband of Mrs. Helen Rivers, 1500 North Delaware street was killed in a plane crash near Palestine, Tex during a training flight Dec 17. Cadet Rivers who was in navigation training at San Marcos, Tex entered the army in May 1943 while employed by the Allison Division of General Motors Corporation. He was a graduate of Russellville High School, a member of the Russellville Methodist Church and former student at Butler University. Survivors besides the widow are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Rivers of Russellville, and three brothers, Curtis Dale Rivers of Camp Siebert, Alabama and Charles Otto Rivers, Jr. and Ronald Dean Rivers, both of Russellville. Funeral services were held in Russellville Dec 24.
