RISSLER, Mary Margaret Rightsell - Putnam

Mary Margaret Rightsell Rissler, daughter of John and Mary E. Rightsell was born in Cloverdale Township, Sept 22, 1866 and departed this life June 8, 1945 age 78 years 8 months and 16 days. Aunt Mag was the sixth child of a family of seven, five of whom have preceded her in death.  On July 6, 1885 she was united in marriage to George Rissler. To this union was born a daughter and son, both of Reelsville.   In February 1884, she united with the Big Walnut Baptist Church with which she remained a faithful member throughout the years, serving faithfully in every capacity in which it was possible for her to work. She was untiring in her efforts to serve both the church and her Lord.  Her chief interest and joy was centered in her home life and she supported in her quiet way every worthy community activity. In her passing the community marks the last of another of its pioneer members. She leaves to mourn her departure one daughter, Mrs. Maude Sendmeyer with whom she made her home for the last 11 years, one son, Joe Rissler, a grandson, George McClure Rissler, a great granddaughter, Sharon Sue and brother, John A. Rightsell and a host of relatives and friends. – kbz
