Rightsell Willie - Putnam

The Free Press, published at Kinston, NC notes the death of the wife of Prof. LT Rightsell who went to North Carolina from this county some years ago as follows: Mrs. Willie Rightsell, wife of Prof. LT Rightsell died at her home in Ayden, July 17 at 1 p.m. aged 34 years. She was sick only a few hours. She married Prof. Rightsell about two years ago and went with him to Ayden to take charge of Christian College in which she taught continuously until her death. She was well loved by her pupils, all of whom attended the funeral services held in the college before the body was taken away. Ever store in Ayden was closed and everybody attended the funeral services, thus showing the high esteem in which she was held. – kbz
