Charles Riddle, 84 of Roachdale, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Ladoga, where he had been a patient 8 months. He was born June 2, 1885, in Putnam County, a son of James and Mary Moore Riddle. He was married to Verna Elsberry at Groveland. Mr. Riddle was a farmer all his adult life in the Ladoga and Barnard neighborhoods. Survivors include a brother Bernard of Browns Valley and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gephart Funeral Home at Ladoga, with Rev. Ray Britton officiating. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery.
