RICHARDSON, Pearl Estep - Putnam

Just as quietly as she lived so did the soul of Pearl Estep Richardson pass on the realities of an unseen world, for precious in the sight of God are the death of the Saints. Pearl was one of ten children born to Jesse and Louisa Estep in Putnam county, Oct. 6. 1887 and passed away at the Putnam County Hospital June 12, 1945. Her illness was of short duration, never complaining but borne with Christian fortitude which was typical of her character as she was happiest when doing or giving something to a friend or neighbor.  On Aug. 31, 1910 she was united in marriage to Lemuel Richardson and together they established a home where friends were always welcome.  In early life she confessed Christ as her Savior and united with the Bethel Methodist Church and remained a member as long as this church was active. Some three years ago she and her husband united with the New Providence Baptist Church where she has been a true and faithful worker. This church feels deeply the loss of this sister and her presence at Sunday School and church will be greatly missed.  Her willingness and self sacrifice to others are something that cannot be expressed in words and as we glance backward at the life of this dear wife and friend, the acts of regret which worry many who have passed this way are missing. Evil thoughts or intentions were not her entertainment and when kindness or helpfulness came her way she recognized and fulfilled them. She leaves to mourn their loss her devoted companion, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Clements and Mrs. Laura Nichols; two brothers, Otha and Willie Estep; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. - kbz
