RHODES, Mary - Putnam

The death of Mrs. Mary A. Rhodes, age 84 years occurred this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.T. Vancleave just east of Greencastle of general debility.  Short services will be held this evening at 7:30 at the residence and the body will be taken to Algiers, leaving here Wednesday morning over the Vandalia line. Services will be held Wednesday morning at the Methodist Church in Algiers and burial will be in the Algiers cemetery. Mrs. Rhodes was a life long member of the Algiers Methodist Church.  Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rhodes of Winslow, Mr. and Mrs. FP Rhodes of Otwell, Dr. HA Rhodes of Princeton and Miss Eva McPheeters of Americus, GA were called here by the illness of their mother. Mr. and Mrs. James Hopewell, Mrs. Hopewell being a granddaughter will arrive this afternoon. Mrs. Rhodes was the grandmother of Mrs. Ben Riley of this city. - kbz
