REESE, Nancy Carter - Putnam

The death of Mrs. Nancy Reese, 84 years old next August occurred Sunday morning at her home with Mr . and Mrs. Frank Stafford in Roachdale.  Her illness originated with acute indigestion.  Mrs. Reese was the widow of John Reese.  The marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Reese occurred at Mooresville she being the daughter oof Frank Carter, a former resident of Monroe Township.  Mr. and Mrs. Reese moved to Roachdale in 1904 where the former died several years ago.  Mr. and Mrs. Reese were the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Satafford of Roachdale and Mrs. Eber Chastain of Indianapolis.  Mrs. Reeves (sic) leaves also a sister and a brother, Miss Mary Carter of Roachdale and Fred Carter of Newman, Ill.  Another sister, Mrs. Howard Oakley of Crawfordsville died 5 years ago.  The funeral services for Mrs. Reese will be held at the Chaastain Funeral Home in Roachdale Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with interment at West Newton south of Indianapolis conducted by the Rev. Plew, pastor of the Christian Church at Roachdale.   --– kbz
