RAY, Luther "Billy" - Putnam

Luther (Billy) RAY, 34 who formerly made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Baird, Greencastle, RR 1, was fatally injured in a traffic accident on Ill 1 near Christmas this morning. Ray died en route to a Paris Ill hospital after his car ran off the highway. A companion, Hubert Bowman, 35, Terre Haute, was admitted to the hopsital where he was reported in fair condition. Mr. Ray was well known in this community but had been making his home in Terre Haute.
