RARIDEN, Elizabeth - Putnam

Greencastle – Elizabeth Rariden, 50, owner of the Greencastle Daily Banner died Thursday night in Putnam County Hospital following a lengthy illness.  Miss Rariden, who assumed control of the newspaper two years ago, also was active in the supervision of registered Hereford cattle and Hampshire hogs on two farms she owned in Putnam County. She was a 1937 graduate of DePauw University. Services were set for Saturday. Survivors include her father, Samuel R. Rariden of Greencastle. – transcribed by kbz
