To this union was born one child, M. Dorris, who with a companion, father, mother, and one sister and many other relatives and friends remain to mourn their loss. She died May 6, 1895, aged 27 years, 8 months, and 13 days. She was a faithful and obedient child and always carried sunshine and joy to all wherever she went. She was a most affectionate companion and devoted mother. She joined the M. E. Church in her tenth year and was faithful to the church and devoted to God the remainder of her life. She was unassuming and reserved in her manner but frank and kind to all, making her with the grace and piety she possessed most companionable.
She will be missed in the church and society as well as the home. The funeral was conducted by Rev. E. T. Spohn, of Edwards, Ind., May 8 assisted by Rev. Worrel, her pastor, and Rev. Black, of the Presbyterian Church, at her home in the presence of a large concourse of friends and neighbors.
