RAMBO - David H. - Putnam

David H. Rambo died at his home in this city, last Saturday evening at the age of 79 years 5 months and six days. He was prostrated by an attack of the grip sometime last winter and never fully recovered. The funeral services were conducted last Monday at Union Chapel by Rev. Hurlstone of this city. More than half a century ago he came from Philadelphia and settled at Union Chapel in this county.  At an early day on Raccoon Creek, he constructed and operated what was known as Rambo’s saw and grist mill, which was run by water power.  When a young man he united with the Methodist Church and has always been a Christian gentleman.- kbz
