MRS. LENA RADFORD DIES IN HOSPITAL; RITES THURSDAY
Mrs. Lena Radford, 66, of 208 W. Jefferson St., died Monday in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient one day.
Mrs. Radford was a member of the First Christian Church, OES Chapter 97 and Triple Four Sewing Club. She also was a charter member of Byron Cox American Legion Post 72 Auxiliary.
Born March 26, 1896, near Ladoga, she was the daughter of Robert F. and Ella Hullett Hicks. She married Paul J. Radford Sept. 2, 1923. They were married at Ladoga. Mr. and Mrs. Radford began housekeeping in Crawfordsville.
Survivors include the husband; a son, Robert W. Radford of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Paula and Philip Radford, both of Indianapolis; and an aunt, Mrs. May Click of Roachdale.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a. m. Thursday at Bright’s Funeral Home here. Rev. Eugene S. Ogrod, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 10 a. m. Wednesday.
